Because I Am a Queen...

Hey there! Notice something different when you visit this page? The song playing is "Video" by India Arie. When we heard this song and read the lyrics, we knew we had to use it for a challenge. Let's face it, most of us are NOT like the average girl in a video. So what! To me, this song says to accept yourself and love who you see in the mirror. A great message, don't you think?  So here's our challenge:
Create a layout inspired by the lyrics in this song. You must use 3-5 pictures. And the twist? Use a beauty product in a creative way on your page. Hey there girlies! First of all, we want to thank you all for the amazing layouts you have shared with us. Journaling can be such a personal thing - this past challenge was all about putting yourself out there. That can be really difficult.  You all rocked it! Onto Challenge #8! In honor of SJ's upcoming wedding, we wanted a challenge that's all about feeling the love. There are all kinds of love - between spouses and partners, parents and children, your pets, even yourself. We want to see you create a layout that documents a love relationship in your life.  The twists? Well, love and flowers go hand in hand. So you must add some flowers. The final twist is to use some form of distressing - ink it, tear it, sand it, paint it! We can't wait to see what you come up with.

Challenge #7 : Journal it

Yes you read correctly, but we want Raw Journaling. Twist: Use office supplies & we want to see use some household Stamping {ie: lids, sponge, etc.} skies the limit. We want to be moved by your journaling. Scrapping is about preserving memories the good, the bad and  even the ugly. I know it's difficult to scrap the bad and ugly, but I have to say from my experience when I have scrapped these events in my life I feel some sense of healing, and empowerment like I have overcome what was hurting. Challenge #6: First time

We have so many first time in our lives, like when you first met your significant other the first time you saw your newborn child, first time you became a mother or what about the first time you started an obsession as may I say Scrapbooking. LOL. Well our Dreamgirls Divas wanted to share with you their memorable first times.  This challenge is to create a layout about your First Time, the twist is to use ribbon/trim and stitching. Challenge #5 :Random doodling

Time sure flies! Can you believe we're on to our fifth challenge already?  We hope you are enjoying our challenges as much as we are. This week, we have a good one for you.  Sometimes it's fun just to be random. Share what's on your mind, with no particular rhyme or reason. Sometimes it's fun to doodle too. There's no right or wrong way to add some of your own artistic pen work.  So here's our challenge to you:
Scrap 5 random thoughts on a layout. The topic is your choice. But you must journal in 5 different locations on the page. Use journal spots or get creative like the DT Divas did. Your twist is to include doodling on your page. Have fun with it!

Hey there! Thanks to everyone who completed our third challenge. Our readers amaze and inspire us with their creativity -it is not an easy task to choose just one winner!  Keep on reading to see who it is.

Inspiration can be found in many places - galleries, ads, color combinations.   Our challenge for you is to take inspiration from this picture:

If it looks a bit familiar, it's because it's the template for our avatars here on this blog.  And the twists?
